Robert Greenway moved to Dallas County in 1994, raising his two daughters, Rhonda and Rebecca, in the Van Meter Community School. Both girls served in the Iowa State Capital as House of Representative Pages while in school and own homes in the area today.

Greenway has served on local city councils and was a key supporter of Local Option Sales and Services Tax across cities. He is an active attendee at Board meetings for the Dallas County Board of Supervisors.
